Cad programs have been around for many years and Rhinoceros is on the cutting edge of this technology with its NURBS modeling for Windows. The jewelry industry has always relied on designers and their drawings to show the client and artist what the piece will ultimately look like finished. . Rhino is the ultimate tool in the design and concept stage. The design can be developed in minutes with a completed image to present to the client for their viewing, feedback and final approval of the design. Images can be printed or emailed to the client.
Dimensions can
be given to the craftsman along with the full color images to show what
you want the piece to look like in its finished form.
It has always been
difficult for some clients to visualize what the finished product is
going to look like, now with Rhino/Flamingo rendering you can send a
“picture” in jpg format as if it was already completed. If the
client wants to know “what will it look like with Diamonds
instead of Rubies” it is simple to change this out in the Rhino
without having to re-draw the entire image, giving your customer the
visual choices they need to make their final decision. Rhinoceros is a
full CAD program used in industrial design, marine design, jewelry
design, CAD / CAM , reverse engineering, rapid prototyping, graphics
